NVQ Level 2 in Team Leading

 Who will benefit from this programme?

 Anyone who is working as a Team Leader or Supervisor, or is simply responsible for the work or activities of others.

Brief overview of the programme

An NVQ is based upon you demonstrating your competence through the work you do. Following discussion with a tutor an individual programme is designed.  You are then supported through individual coaching, assessment, telephone and e-mail help-lines and training that is relevant to your work.

The programme includes the following:

  • Health and Safety
  • Working effectively with colleagues
  • Providing leadership and direction
  • Managing your own development

In addition candidatescan select any 2 from the following:

  • Allocating work
  • Encouraging innovation
  • improving customer service
  • Providing your colleagues with opportunities to learn

How long will it take?

Flexible; normally between 3 and 12 months- to be agreed by you in discussion with your tutor

 

NVQ Level 3 in Management

Who will benefit from this programme?

Anyone who is working as a supervisor or First Line Manager or who has responsibility for the work or activities of others

Brief overview of the programme:

An NVQ is based upon you demonstrating your competence through the work you do.  Following discussion with a tutor an individual programme is designed.  You are then supported through individual coaching, assessment, telephone and e-mail help-lines and training that is relevant to your work.

The programme includes the following:

  • Health and Safety
  • Managing your professional development
  • Monitoring the progress and quality of work
  • Providing leadership

In addition candidates can select any 3 from the following:

  • Equality of opportunity and diversity
  • Implement change
  • Plan change
  • Working effectively with colleagues
  • Manage a budget
  • Manage a project
  • Working with customers

How long will it take?

Flexible; normally between 6 and 15 months- to be agreed by you in discussiion with your tutor.

NVQ Level 4 in Management

Who will benefit from this programme?

Anyone who has responsibility for other line managers or supervisors or who has a functional role.

Brief overview of the programme

An NVQ is based upon you demonstrating your competence through the work you do.  Following discussion with a tutor an individual programme is designed.  You are then supported through individual coaching, assessment, telephone and e-mail help-lines and training that is relevant to your work.

The programme includes the following:

  • Develop and implement operational plans for your area of responsibility
  • Encourage innovation in your area of responsibility
  • Develop productive working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders
  • Ensure health and safety requirements are met in your area of responsibility
  • Manage business processes

In addition candidates can select any 3 from the following:

  • Manage your own resources and professional development
  • Develop your personal networks
  • Provide leadership in your area of responsibility
  • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, ethical and social requirements
  • Promote equality of opportunity and diversity in your area of responsibility
  • Lead change
  • Plan change
  • Implement change
  • Recruit, select and keep colleagues
  • Allocate and monitor the progress and quality of work in your area of responsibility
  • Provide learning opportunities for colleagues
  • Manage finance for your area of responsibility
  • Manage a project
  • Manage a programme of complementary projects

How long will it take?
